“Besides purely figurative sculpture, I enjoy integrating people with wildlife.  So, through some of my art, I try to draw the viewer into the piece, showing people as ‘a part of nature’, not ‘apart from nature.”

     “One of the challenges is infusing a personality into my subject.  Getting that ‘life essence’ just right consumes my thoughts and dreams.

     Artistically, I approach each work as a vague concept.  As I begin researching the nuances of the natural or cultural context, a more coherent image begins to coalesce in my mind’s eye.
